Chile Wildfires

On Friday, February 2, a mega forest fire hit the Valparaíso Region, in Chile.  Currently the death toll has been confirmed at 130 deaths with 15,000 homes destroyed. This catastrophe has affected families belonging to the Anglican Church of Chile (IACH), many of whom lost their homes and had relatives who died in the fire.

The church in Chile has organized to provide support to these families and the community in the affected sectors.  Support is being given in prayer, with funding, with volunteers, emotional and psychological support given and help as these families and community begin the long task of reconstruction. ARDF is raising funds for these efforts on our website.

Encouragement for Ukraine

Please keep our partners and the Ukrainian people in your prayers as the war continues. They specifically ask for prayers of encouragement and that Christ would break through despair. You can read our most recent update on our blog.

Relief for Residents of Israel and Palestine

Please continue to pray for ongoing relief efforts in this region. Our most recent partner shares that: “Resources are scarce, prices are soaring, and providing for families has become a daunting challenge. The situation is dire, with some resorting to using animal fodder to make bread, and even that is running out in some places. Before the war, a 25 kg bag of flour cost $8; now, it's almost $200, if you can even find it. The devastation is palpable, with countless homes destroyed and many left homeless."

Mozambique

The Diocese of Zambezia, Mozambique, is providing aid to support those displaced from the area of Cabo Delgado where people have been attacked by insurgents.

Uganda

In the Diocese of Mukono, Uganda, the church provided food to four villages still struggling after last year's droughts. ARDF provided funding for corn meal, beans, and cooking oil to feed 150 families waiting for their crops to grow.

South Sudan

The church in South Sudan is doing what they can to support returnees and refugees who are fleeing Sudan. ARDF was able to support their efforts to provide food and household supplies for 50 households.
