Support Relief for Survivors of the Wildfire in Chile

On Friday, February 2, a mega forest fire hit the Valparaíso Region, in Chile. Currently the death toll has been confirmed at 130 deaths with 15,000 homes destroyed. This catastrophe has affected families belonging to the Anglican Church of Chile (IACH), many of whom lost their homes and had relatives who died in the fire.

The Current Situation

The entire church in Chile has organized to provide support to these families and the community in the affected sectors. Support is being given in prayer, with funding, with volunteers, emotional and psychological support given and help as these families and community begin the long task of reconstruction.

The church has also aided in helping provide food assistance to the affected families as the community organized to provided more long term assistance.
