Good News Story: Joy In Uganda

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
- Luke 2:10-11

In Uganda, our partners are constructing a health clinic in the Sebei region. People in this region suffer from curable diseases, such as anthrax, polio, cholera, and malaria, and for specialized care must travel over 150 miles. By building a clinic, the Diocese of Sebei hopes to reduce the number of deaths resulting from treatable illnesses, providing high quality affordable outpatient services, maternity, and general care.

The local community is excited for its completion, rallying around the clinic by visiting the site and even providing food for the construction workers. The joy present in the community is a true witness to the joy of Christ! There are daily devotions and prayers each day before work begins, and our partners report that some workers have become Christians as a result! Recently, some Bishops and Clergy visited the site and offered their encouragement as well. The clinic has truly been a community effort!

We are inspired by how this community is sharing the Good News of Christ with everyone involved!
