Winter 2022 Update on ARDF Relief Efforts

The latest news on ARDF Relief Efforts

Your Impact

In the past three months, ARDF sent $197,000 in relief funds to Afghan Refugee Resettlement in the US, Cambodia, Cuba, Florida, Kentucky, Kenya, Pakistan, and Ukraine.

We are so thankful to partner with the local church who reaches out in times of crisis. Our participation in disaster relief and response is a tiny glimpse of the hope Christ brings, reminding us - even during hard times - that He will redeem all things!

Clearing the Rubble

ARDF staff members joined missioners from Florida, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia on a disaster response trip to Ft. Myers in November. Partnering with Eight Days of Hope and Summit Church, the team of Anglicans removed water-damaged sheetrock, insulation, wood trim and ruined items from three homes and one marine engine business. During the last two days of their trip, they watched Tropical Storm Nicole roll in, upgrading to a category 1 hurricane before hitting the Florida Atlantic coast at Vero Beach. ARDF is receiving donations for serving the survivors of these storms, and it is not too late to donate or volunteer! Winter is Here

In Kentucky, the weather is cold. Our partners have delivered over 1,000 blankets, as well as ceramic heaters and plastic sheeting to areas still suffering as a result of the flooding in July.

Winter is also a harsh reality for our partners in Ukraine. The country is struggling due to lack of electricity, and relief efforts are centered around providing sleeping bags rated for cold weather and generators to supply electricity.  You can help us help them by donating specifically to Ukraine relief here.

Flood Relief

In Cambodia, we were able to send money to replenish a rice bank - essential for a struggling community after flooding rains destroyed much of this year’s rice crop.

Pakistan is still facing the effects of heavy flooding, including disease brought by unsanitary conditions. This has been complicated by political turmoil. Relief efforts that are made through large organizations often don't make it to the Christian minority communities, so any aid given through the local church is crucial in helping this marginalized demographic.

Thank you for your prayers and your support of ARDF's relief efforts! We are thrilled to play a small role in helping churches demonstrate the love of Jesus through these tangible acts of compassion.
