New Year, New Grant Process

Initial Proposals are being received until March 31, 2022.

Happy New Year! Our New Year’s resolution is to implement a grant proposal process that is fair, clear, and time-bound. We will no longer accept unsolicited proposals outside from this process.

This new process will allow us to more equitably select projects from different regions and partners than previously, while still maintaining the rigorous process that ensures donors’ funds are making an impact. We will continue to thoroughly research the projects that we recommend to the ARDF Global Council. And while we would love to say yes to every credible proposal, we know that only a handful will make it through our process.

Grant Proposal Process

The process for awarding the next round of development grants:

January 1 - March 31, 2022. Prospective partners submit a summary through a google form here. (If you need a paper copy to complete and return via email, please let us know by emailing projects@ardf.org.) Proposals cannot be accepted after March 31, 2022.

May 1, 2022. Selected prospective partners will asked to submit a full proposal. This must include audited financial statements for your organization and a letter of recommendation from the Anglican Archbishop of your Anglican Province. Not everyone will receive an invitation to submit a more detailed proposal.

July 1, 2022. Finalists are notified that their project will go before the ARDF Global Council for approval.

September 2022. Global Council meets to approve select projects.

October 1, 2022. Grant recipients are notified.

Visit our website to study our process. When you are ready, you may submit a summary proposal. There is no rush to submit a proposal immediately. We will review all the submissions in April.

While anyone can complete an initial screening, we prioritize Anglican leaders who have a demonstrated track record of financial responsibility and accounting. We also look for projects with a plan to be self-sustaining after ARDF funding is complete. In a desire to serve the entire globe, projects from regions of the world where we are currently working may be less likely to be selected.
