Holy Cross Theological College is Open!

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.”
- Zechariah 4:6

Myanmar

Holy Cross Theological College (HCTC) has long played a role in forming clergy and promoting unity. Founded in 1934, it is the only provincial level college fully run by the Anglican Church in Myanmar offering an accredited theological degree. This institution is an important training ground for raising up a new generation of clergy committed to traditional Christian values in an increasingly secular culture.

In 2020, ARDF approved a grant which helped HCTC expand and equip more classrooms and its library, meeting the need to train even more students. We are thankful that in August 2022 the college celebrated its grand opening! The report from the field is that enrollment in the Bachelor of Theology program is at an all-time high, and we are excited to watch the college welcome these new students.

Join us in praising God for the faithful leaders and teachers at this institution, and for the many students eager to serve the Lord in ministry. Please pray with us for the following requests:

  • For peace in Myanmar amidst political turmoil.

  • For The Most Rev. Stephen Than Myint Oo, Archbishop, Anglican Province of Myanmar and ARDF Global Trustee, as he leads the church in this trying time.

  • For the hearts of the future seminary students, that the courses they take will allow them to stand strong against the current tide of secularism in Myanmar.

The completed building was an impressive space to hold August’s graduation ceremony!
