The latest news on ARDF Relief Efforts

Your Impact

In the past three months, ARDF sent more than $130,000 in relief funds to: Australia, Cambodia, India, Kenya, Louisiana, Michigan, Myanmar, Nepal, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Vietnam.

Ethiopia

In March, ARDF joined with other donors to support the efforts of the Ethiopian Anglican Church in Tigray. Working in one of the IDP camps, the church delivered food, water, mattresses, blankets, and health supplies. The area is currently facing a man-made famine and our partners do not see any chance of the people in the camps returning home anytime soon.

Australia

ARDF joined efforts with an ACNA parish and ARDF-Australia to support the Anglican Diocese of North West Australia and Bishop Gary Nelson after a devastating cyclone. Churches promptly opened their doors to students and families.

Bishop Nelson has been very encouraged by the response of the ministers and their congregations. “It’s wonderful to see people living out the gospel in the midst of such a crisis. We are praying for more people in our damaged communities to realise their only hope is in the Lord. I would also like to thank all who have prayed and shared their resources with us. This is a truly gospel partnership we are involved in.”

Classes at the local primary school moved to the local church after Cyclone Seroja damaged local school buildings. The church’s quick response meant the children barely missed any instructional time.

Cambodia

ARDF partnered with People for Care & Learning, Cambodia. Normally, PCL’s work is focused on community development and education, more than relief. However, with the pandemic, PCL has begun delivering food because many families are starving in the communities where PCL works. They have also been giving out masks and hand sanitizer.

India

ARDF partnered with the Anglican Church of Northern India to battle the pandemic by purchasing hand sanitizers, soap, surgical masks, oxygen tanks, and Oxy-meters.

Church Partnerships

ARDF has been honored to partner with various ACNA churches who are supporting the relief efforts of their overseas partners. Our new Joseph Fund allows us to match the funds you raise in your churches for efforts that we might not have been otherwise able to support.
