Ukraine: Our Third Round of Partners

Shepherd’s Foundation receives internally displaced Ukrainians and cares for them as they flee the country.

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:2

Ukraine and Surrounding Countries

ARDF continues to be overwhelmed by the generous support of donors across North America who want to help bring help and healing to the people of Ukraine. We have been equally encouraged by the number of you who have personal contacts to those in Ukraine doing amazing work to help the refugees. Thank you.

For our third round of relief grants we have selected five additional ministries. We are grateful for their tireless, courageous work on the ground, under incredibly difficult circumstances. We are honored to support these organizations.

New Hope Ukraine

ARDF Australia (ARDF-A) is supporting New Hope Ukraine and a pastor who, with his son, is providing shelter for refugees. ARDF-A asked if we would join them in this effort and we were delighted to! More broadly, New Hope is working within Ukraine and across Europe with refugees fleeing their homes and former lives. New Hope knows that this will be a prolonged crisis and they are continuing to set up systems to aid refugees within the countries that are - and will eventually - receive Ukrainian refugees.

Currently, New Hope has people hosting and helping refugees in Western Ukraine, near the Poland and Hungarian borders. ARDF funds will be used to buy food and supplies. Since some resources are scarce in Ukraine, they are also buying products in neighboring countries and getting them into Ukraine. In addition, support and care are being provided to those who have arrived traumatized.

Our partner in Ukraine writes, “I only pray for us to continue to be strong and courageous, do not be frightened or dismayed. And that the Lord our God would be with us wherever we go. (Joshua 1:9)”

You can find more information - and prayer points on the ARDF-A website. ARDF-US has offered our grant as a match, to spur gifts from Australian donors.

Reach Out Youth Solutions

Ukrainian Eagle Leaders in western Ukraine are providing food, shelter, safety, and the hope of the Gospel. The cost to provide this lodging for the number of refugees they are caring for is approximately $500 a day.

Shepherd’s Foundation

This is a ministry that runs a Christian camp, Camp Maximum, in the city of Zolotonosha in central Ukraine. Since the start of the Russian invasion the camp has served as a transit site for refugees. They are providing food and shelter for 300-400 people per night. They have purchased six 10-person vans and are getting two more. Their drivers are driving into combat zones in the east, transporting people overnight to the camp, and then getting them on to Poland.

The guiding verse of Shepherd’s Foundation is, “Since, then you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” Colossians 3:1-4

Legacy Refuge

Legacy Refuge has been working with orphans for over five years. Now they are focused on helping in three key areas: transport & evacuation, food & lodging, and immigration and legal aid.

ARDF donations provide food, travel costs, and emergency supplies to refugee orphans and families in Ukraine and those now displaced. Though plans and strategies are rapidly changing, sometimes by the hour, Legacy Refuge is committed to raising funds that prioritize helping at-risk orphans, but which can also be used to help anyone in need.

IPHC World Missions

ARDF funds to IPHC will specifically help Roman & Christina Danylyshyn, local pastors in Krakow. Commissioned four years ago, they left Ternopil, Ukraine to start “New Life Church,” a small church plant in Krakow.

Now this small church has the massive task of purchasing food and medical supplies to feed refugees locally but also to send food across the Ukrainian border to Ternopil and other, smaller towns in Ukraine. A group of hidden war-orphans are part of the recipients as they await the required documents to cross the border.

We have been so inspired by the work of these partners - all new to ARDF. We recognize the stress they are under as the conflict continues to drag on. Please join us in praying for the staff and volunteers of these organizations as well as the Urkainians they are serving.

We expect to send additional grants to some earlier partners. Stay tuned for updates!
