Marsabit residents are at “the mercy of God,” according to Kenyan news reports.

Marsabit, Kenya

Bishop Qampicha is appealing for funds to help with drought relief in Marsabit. The Famine Early Warning Network (FEWS) reports that the March to May “long rains” have been significantly below average. Last week, the KTN News reported on this ongoing tragedy saying that over 100,000 people will need food assistance for the next six months.

Bishop Qampicha has long been a friend of ARDF and KCEP, the organization that he co-founded to bring high quality Christian education to Marsabit County. Students at the church-operated Tumaini Academy are excelling. And yet many of their families and neighbors will go hungry and thirsty this summer.

You can join our efforts by donating to Marsabit relief. In this time of crisis, let's act now to support the church in caring for those in desperate need.

Marsabit county in Northern Kenya is a harsh, arid place where most families survive by herding animals and collecting firewood to sell. When drought comes and kills the animals and trees, the community loses sources of income.
