Providing high quality education to communities in Northern Kenya
In the fall of 2008 (now Bishop) Qampicha Daniel Wario from northern Kenya met Janet Helms from Pennsylvania and shared with her the plight of the Christians in northern Kenya. Through prayer they discerned that the best way to help the Christians in northern Kenya was to build a Christian Primary School as a beacon of Jesus’ concern for His people. Many of the children in the region are from nomadic families, who find it difficult to enroll their children in a public school. If the children could receive a quality Christian education, it would give them a foundation for the rest of their lives and the possibility of becoming future leaders that might help all of the people.
Creating the Partnership
In order to carry out this God-driven project, they founded Kenya Christian Education partnership (KCEP). KCEP partners with the Anglican Diocese of Marsabit, Kenya and the local community in Sololo.
