ARDF is happy to announce the hiring of Ryn Manby as our new GROW Initiative Coordinator.
“Ryn has already proven to be a great asset to ARDF,” said Charles Treichler, ARDF’s Communication Manager. “She is passionate about caring for the poor, loves Jesus, and is incredibly creatively gifted. Our GROW Initiative aims to help ARDF connect with Anglicans in their 20s and 30s and get them excited about mission and social justice within the worldwide Anglican Communion. We are breaking new ground, so the work is not easy, but Ryn has jumped in wholeheartedly and her enthusiasm is contagious.”
She officially joined the ARDF team this past May and will be primarily working to help increase young adult engagement with the organization through different mediums, such as social media, networking, and other forms of creative communications.
Ryn will spend most of her time working remotely from here home in Chicago, IL and continue to build upon her existing connections with Church of the Resurrection, Immanuel Anglican Church, and the Greenhouse movement.
Born in Michigan, Ryn has always considered herself a midwestern girl at heart, despite spending most of her growing up years in Atlanta. She graduated from Wheaton College in 2011 with a degree in Sociology and has worked in the Resource Development field since graduation. She is abundantly happy to call Chicago home–despite the winters. Admittedly addicted to coffee, you can usually find her and her bike parked at one of the many local coffee shops that grace Chicago. Lover of all things beautiful, she has an incessant need to create and, as such, is slowly building a photography business on the side.
Ryn brings a wide array of skills to the GROW Initiative Coordinator position and is excited to use her background in fundraising and marketing to help build awareness of ARDF’s work around the world.
She truly believes in ARDF’s mission, its place within the local Anglican church, and its commitment to the empowerment of local leaders. She is excited, and honored, to be a part of the ARDF team.
